"The Look"

I am behind on posting to my blog. I have a couple of shows I am working on finishing paintings to submit. The first begins in September at
Casa Azafran sponsored by the
Tennessee Art League. This is one of the paintings to be submitted for the show from a photo I took at
Celebrate Nashville a few years ago. It was a sunny day so I don't know if the look is from seeing something that displeases her or the sun simply shining in her eyes. At any rate, I had fun with all the color, experimenting with thick paint and palette knife application on the background.
